Could be that your computer is thinking of something else and you are doing some unnecessary clicking. As a test, try to right click the volume control then select Open Volume Control.

how fast is ur computer? if you have a slow computer then it may take some time, but it should *open* after you click it once! If it sometimes doesnt open when clicked *only once* there could be a virus/trojan on ur computer. I would advise you have it scanned (there are several online - Trend Micro is one). google "free virus scanner" for a good list. Also if you do not have a memory resident virus/spyware protection, google "Avast" and "SpywareGuard". They are both free for personal use, easy to setup and very reputable.

For any problems you have .
The computer Yes must be busy or you don't have enough memory to handle all that you are doing,maybe you need to defrag the harddrive??
Many things to think about on the old why why why.Its like any thing check this, then that, and if in doubt on how to , go to windows.com and look up help , and type in your question.
