tattoo coverups?

I have a tattoo on my lower back of my ex boyfriends name,and i need help finding the right tattoo to cover it up.Can someone help me?

the average cover up has to be about 3 times the size of the original. You need to look for something with a lot of lines (eagles, koi fish, dragons) or bold dark colours (purples, greens ) to cover the ink up.BLACK WILL NOT COVER BLACK because the outlines are a different type of mark than the colouring. Putting tribal over anything will simply end up as a tribal with a visible outline in it of whatever you had before. Colours like reds and yellows are too transparent to cover with. Also black and grey will not cover your tattoo, it may camouflage it but essentially you will still see the original. Any artist who tries to tell you that you can only cover up with black is a lousy cover up artist. If in doubt ask to see examples of an artists cover up work.

Cover ups are the way to go. Some artists specialize in doing cover up tattoos. Although it probably will cost more than the original tattoo but no way near as much (pain and money) as laser treatment.

Think of the different types of things you like. Flowers, butterflies, etc. Go to a shop and talk to an artist. Give him your ideas, and ask for his. He'll look at your tattoo and should come up with ways to cover it up well. People forget that tattoo artists, are actually artists with creative abilities, most of the time anyway.

Go to the tattoo shop and pick out something and have it coverd up and never put a guy's name on you agin.

never ever ever get a name unless they are dead or blood family..but is it dark? the name that is if so save the money and get it lightened they think about a cover up
