Is it better for your body to get its nutrients/vitamins from the foods you eat, or can you compensate with just a daily multivitamin pill?

It is better to get it from your food, too much vitamins can cause vitamin poisoning and liver stones. If you are gonna compensate your nutrients and vitamins from pills read the back of the label. For myself I choose vitamin pills, they help me get all the strength I need throughout the day specially iron and potassium. Do not fully compensate them though, you need a full diet if you do not want to have any health problems in the future.

Nutrients in food are generally easier to absorb and the diigestion process is slower. There is apparently no medical evidence to sya that taking vitamin pills is any good for you.

multivitamins are supplements to a healthy diet...they cannot be the diet!....they will not satisfy the hunger craving or meet the nutrition and calorific reqirement to survive...u will end up getting ulcers and passing out...u need carbs, proteins, vitamins and minerals to sustain and water too....
u gotta eat healthy food....nothing can compensate it!
