Just imagine carrying a baby for nine months until it is born.
You care for, love and protect it. You look into it's little eyes for the first time and it's love at first sight and in return it looks at you like you are the most important person in the world and to the little baby you are. The baby grows up and to the parent she(he) will always be beautiful. You have shared a history together. You are sharing a life together now and forever. Inside and outside, a child will always be beautiful to their parents.

What immediately came to mind is the old adage that states "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Your family DOES believe that you are beautiful. Everyone's family feels that way about them. Your question sounds a bit insecure in nature. I've discovered that the most sexy and beautiful people are the ones with a positive image of themselves. Not arrogant, mind you, but self confident. Before there was the internet, the media portrayed what they thought was "ideal beauty" in rather anorexic looking pixies that really could have benefited from eating a cheeseburger or two. After going online, I noticed a trend toward beauty turning back more toward the renaissance era where beautiful women had curves and people were more accepted based upon the merits of their intelligence and personalities, rather than some image they saw in an advertisement.

For me it was my grandparents that said this all the time. For me, I was the geeky book worm til I hit like 22. Then I realized that I had to work on my self image and like myself for who I am. The point is that I have more notices now than I did when I was in high school. In high school your body is changing anyway, therefore your family encourages you by saying your beautiful because a person does after the awkward years.

Parents love their children in spite of what they look like. All parents think their children are beautiful. If you are not a parent you would not know. There are different types of beauty, not just physical but also within. It is a parents job to reassure their kids and show them love and affection and protect them. Everyone is beautiful in their own way. Young girls these days put to much emphasis on their weight and their appearance. Everyone is great in Gods eyes, not matter what you look like and our society should also think this way. Everybody is not going to look like the runway models on T.V. or the movie stars. Learn to love yourself for who you are, your parents do and always will.

I don't think there is a parent out there who thinks their child isn't beautiful. Have more pride in yourself and if you don't like the way you look, make a few changes. Give your self a makeover.

Parents do think their child is beautiful because that is their child, and they love their children and brag on them, because most parents are proud of their children and like to compliment them,plus that gives a child confidence and I really think that parents mean it, because you are their child.
