I am getting pretty good at Chinese, but would like to be able to express myself in essays. Can anyone give me any information about how to write good compostions in Chinese?

I suggest the following:

1. Start a diary and get it checked by your Chinese teacher or a Chinese friend (who's Chinese is good enough to check for grammar mistakes). The more you write - the more mistakes you make - the more your tutor can help you improve so you can carry on writing more and more, whilst learning vital grammar structures.

2. The written form of Chinese can vary greatly from the spoken form so getting a good text book which has examples of diaries, letters, reports etc. will give you more of an idea 'how' to write.

3. I know I've already mentioned getting a teacher. Recently I have changed teacher and my new teacher is really great, she has helped us all with essay writing grammar etc. Having a good teacher 'really' makes a difference. It takes time weeding out the bad ones but it's worth it.

i don't propose purely leaping right into a close-by chinese language severe college, because of the fact the platforms are very different and you will experience its tricky to capture up. And specific, they write a variety of of essays, do a variety of of tests, the mathematics and physics are particularly tricky... Very annoying. i might propose a international college like i'm in now.

Your Chinese may be getting better - but your English seems to be deteriorating.

The correct spelling is 'compositions'.
