Could this be a nutritional thing?...I am careful about shampoo and conditioners for them ......any suggestions that may help my son would be appreciated. I've never seen dandruff on someone so young and we eat very healthy and drink plenty of water and take vitamins.

Sounds nutritional - Udo's oil is really good, but start off only with a scant teaspoon (you take it by mouth) - it's brilliant for dry skin, hair and also for brain power. Great stuff!

It could be hereditary even if you or their father don't have dandruff you may have still passed it on, Keep the diet healthy and try a gentle shampoo, If its a greasy dandruff try washing his hair twice, just make sure its a gentle shampoo, if this doesn't work you should take him too a dermatologist or a salon, it may be a different type of scalp disorder such as psoriasis.

1. Use reputable salon shampoos that fight flaking scalp and itching

Recommendations: Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner or Ex-oil by Nexxus

2. Visit a dermatologist. Inquire of a prescription of a medicated shampoo especially for dandruff.

3. Visit a Trichologist: This is a certified hair and scalp specialists who will help identify the underlying problem of flaking. Sometimes meaning a poor diet, changes in body chemistry, health problems, and wrong shampoos.

Avoid heavy hair greases, waxy hair products on scalp. Use light cremes or oils with tea tree oil as an ingredient.

Look for some name brands with small amounts of oils that act as natural antiseptics it will change the sebum secretion on their scalps.....Look for TEA TREE
