all the guys seem to be jerks who don't know what they want. even the ones who claim not to be a player really are. they're just trying to tell you what you want to hear. well i wanna hear the truth..

Actually there are sweet guys out there. Maybe you should stop looking for one and that sweet guy will come to you. The player guys are guys who don't know what they want yet ansd so they are trying a little bit if everything. Here is my advice, don't give up you'll find a guy who really cares about you, just don't go out looking for him, he will find you when you least expect him to.

I hear ya, BUT yes I can tell u there are sweet guys out there and I finally met one. I was meeting exactly the type of guy that u described. I always dated guys that were 5-8 years younger than me and they never knew what they wanted, but this time I met a man 5 years older than me and he has done the marriage thing, he has kids, he now knows what he wants out of life. He isn't into game playing and is ready to meet someone who wants the same out of life as he does. It is so wonderful to be with a guy that isn't out to mess with your emotions. Do what I did, don't look for a guy because it seems that when we do that we end up picking the same type of guy over and over again. I met this guy totally by accident, I had decided not to even date for awhile and there he was. He is truly the best, most sincere guy I have ever met. So be patient, they are out there. This is probably the number one question EVERY GIRL will ask at some point in her life. First off, let me tell you that there ARE sweet and caring guys out there; we're just in such high demand and very low supply.
The problem is caused by the media and where it tells us to focus our interests. Guys have always had the bigger problem with entertainment, so I believe (with the introduction of videogames and other interactive multimedia that girls CAN take interest in but just statistically don't). If you show it on TV, guys are gonna want it. Companies spend BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of dollars every year to market their merchandise and advertise it in just the right way.
I DO have a point, so hang in there.
The real multimedia breakthrough occurred when experts learned the effectiveness of infatuation and lust. "How do we get people interested in our product? Let's make it look sexy! How do we do that? Let's get sexy people in our ads!" The problem is, people not only take interest in the product now; they take interest in the people being showcased as well.
Companies started making more money for more "sexiness." Some said, "Let's focus our entire business on sexy people, and we'll make more money!" That's how the entire adult entertainment industry was introduced.
My point is this -- the "addiction" to all forms of multimedia that guys have, is what turns us into disrespectful, ungrateful slimeballs. All our pleasures and dreams and fantasies can be satisfied through buying a computer, or playing XBOX, or going to an adult film store, or illegally downloading music, and so on and so forth? What does this mean? Less and less guys every year, are deciding that they'd rather have a woman in their life than depend on home entertainment to address their pleasures.
HOWEVER, there ARE decent guys out there who have dedicated their entire lifestyles to avoiding things that cause addiction, such as videogames, pornography and Internet chatting. As I said before, the entertainment industry is becoming more and more powerful with every passing year.
I can only hope you're not shaking your head, going, "You haven't answered my question."
Anyway, the plain and simple truth (which I probably just should have given you in the beginning) is -- be patient. We're on the verge of becoming extinct, but decent guys DO exist and we ARE still available. Just be patient, don't settle for anything less, and you will find one. Good luck.

Well now a day there are more boys who don't know how to treat a woman all they know is lie to get what they want and move on. But three are men like me not boys who kow what it takes to satisfy a woman's needs and worry about ours when the time comes. And also jerks are everywhere just liek players. Good for you!! Yes, there are many "sweet guys" out there - here - but they are so busy getting their lives together and don't have time to be players so you don't see them as much as you see the guys trying to be something that they are not. Try looking in different places than you are now.

WHEN I FIRST MET MY HUSBAND, I THOUGHT HE WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, CUZ MOST OF THE GUYS I MET BEFORE ARE SOOOO NICE AND SWEET DURING THE FIRST COUPLE OF MONTHS INTO THE RELATIONSHIP, THEN, JUST LIKE SUCKING IN A BEER BELLY, IT BECAME TOO DIFFICULT AND THEY HAD TO LET IT ALL OUT. BUT THE TRUTH IS, THERE ARE REAL GOOD GUYS OUT THERE WHO WILL DO ANYTHING TO MAKE A WOMAN HAPPY AND IT'S NOT JUST AN ACT, I EXPECTED MY HUSBAND TO CHANGE A LONG TIME AGO BUT HE DIDN'T, HE WAS ALL ABOUT DOING WHAT MAKES ME COMFY AND HAPPY AND HE PUTS MY NEEDS FIRST BEFORE HIS. There are sweet guys out there but they are very hard to find. Don't go out with some over confident guy. Try someone who is shy. They tend not to be "players".

There are some sweet ones, but they're few and far between. You just have to find them. The large majority of them are flawed. After all, they have their macho reputations to keep up.
