my mom has breast cancer and has had 32 rounds of chemo and just had breast removed and came home the next day now she is going to have chemo again then radiation and she is 61 years old and doing great

There are several types of breast cancer. And, each type will vary in its severity. Therefore, it won't surprise you to learn that each type and each severity will have it's own witch's brew of chemicals to kill it. In addition to different formulas, there are differing doses and number of treatments.

Sooo... generally speaking (did I mention that you need to post a good question) -- lots of different types of breast cancer, lots of different stages of breast cancer, lots of different chemicals used in "chemo" and lots of different treatment schedules.

It's almost like the terms "chemo" and "cancer" are useless.....

Last thing- each person responds differently. In general, though, you can expect complete hair loss, so get used to that idea NOW.

it depends on the size of the tumor. ihad to have 9 months of it. it wasn't pleasant but i am cancer free 3 years

had chemo for breast cancer 7 yrs ago, still cancer free.

if the doctor feels someone needs it yes, my friend had radiation treatments
