I think the mental part is worse than the physical. My step daughter let her boyfriend convince her that they needed to do it, She gave in and I knew what happened by the way she was acting. She was depressed and after I told her I knew why, she broke down and cried because she was wanting to save it for marriage. Her ex-boyfriend will not be around here anymore and he knows better than to even look at her. I threatened to make him shark bait or just cut his weenie off for what he did. She is over him, but not what she did. That was about a year ago.

Yes it did hurt! It doesn't matter how relaxed and ready you are if there has never been anything in there before it'll be uncomfortable to begin with. I remember when I lost mine, I was 20 and I was walking like John Wayne for a few days after and I bled quite a bit. Don't think the first time will be like what you see in the movies because it isn't! The first time I think is quite disappointing.

Girls vary greatly. The hymen may be rudimentary anyway and may present no significant obstruction. Or it may almost-completely obsctruct the vagina. So a girl may not be aware of the physical part of losing her virginity or it may hurt signiciantly.

Some girls lose it without even knowing thats it gone (through sports and vigourous activities). It varies with individuals, its a very momentary pain if it does hurt;
