He is not to fond of doctors but at work yesterday his ears hurt so bad he had to go to the clinic (on-site). The doc says his canal was cherry red instead of pink and severly swollen also partial deafness in the right ear. No insurance just yet (has to wait for 90 days of employment) what can he do to remedy this if anything. suffering for about 2-3 wks now. aching ...etc,...

I had the same problem. I was given Allegra D and antibiotic also Motrin for the pain. When i took them the pain stopped right away.

Take him to the ER right away! He needs antibiotics and he's going to have to have his ears drained. A friend of mine just had the same thing done 2 days ago. There's no home remedy, this is only going to get worse! He needs a shot of Rocephin which he can only get at a hospital.

If it is red and swollen he cannot wait. He is risking permanent hearing loss if he doesn't get this treated now. Tell him to go to the doctor now and get this treated.

try Castor oil warm on a spoon and drop in the ear
