Other than buying some expensive full-body workout equipment, the easiest way to exercise and tone the whole body is by swimming. However, different strokes provide different focus on certain parts of the body. But generally almost all major muscle groups are working during a swim and I don't mean a leisure swim. You will need to swim at a speed and intensity that will cause your heartrate to between 50% to 85% of your Maximum Heart Rate. To calculate your Maximum Heart Rate, take 220 minus your age. The result is your Maximum Heart Rate in beats per minute.

Most people swim either freestyle or breaststroke. If you want more focus on your legs and butt, swim breaststroke and put more effort into your kicking. If you need more focus on your torso and arms, swim freestyle and put more effort into the arm pulls.

Try swimming, it does it all, I know this isn't quite the season to be doing it but find a good warmed indoor pool. Swimming and I mean SWIMMING LAPS, tones your abs, arms, legs, neck etc. Good luck,
