First of all, if you believe in yourself to make good decisions in life, it shouldn't matter what anyone has to say. Why would you care anyway?
You are two individuals who like each other, that is what matters.
You are hung up on opinions, of who??? small minded people with pre conceived ideas of what
society would and should accept. Hello.. you are a young woman who has a mind of her own. stand up and be counted. do not let anyone influence your decision to date someone no matter if they are of a different race or not. It should be between you and him only.
if people are judging you it is because they are scared to live outside the box or what society has dictated to them.
It could be a parent's opinion that has influenced them.
I think you owe it to this guy and to yourself to go out and have a great time.
Date and get to know one another as you should and don't' worry about opinions, because you know yourself they are change every day......
I do not believe you are using him at all, I think you were a little unsure of who you really are.
You are a smart and wonderful person .
Have fun....

First, calm down - Next, determine for yourself if you enjoy the company of this boy - does he make you laugh, is he a nice guy, does he share your values, etc. Then, figure out how strong you are and how strong you want to be. Do you have the strength to say to people, "I'm going out with him because I like him." Are you ashamed to go out with a black guy?
Now is the time to decide who you are going to be in life: Are you going to be someone who only dates guys that make others feel comfortable or are you going to decide for yourself who make you happy to be with?
Go to the prom; have fun; and just let things develop naturally. By just taking things one day at a time, you will see if this is the right thing for you or not.

If you are worried about what people will think, then he deserves better than you, because that makes you the same as the people that are thinking it is wrong. Skin is only a color...its whats on the inside that counts, and if you cant see that then find someone else to go with to prom.

it particularly is incredibly a rely of determination and the media has no longer been very friendly portraying black women certainly, this it particularly is comprehensible why the various races belive black women to be unattractive. White is in suitable now, yet what are you able to do to boot substitute the ignorant perspectives that many have? no longer ALL adult males (white, black, and so on) think of black women are gruesome-it particularly is in simple terms that maximum adult males are ignorant approximately women of coloration. it particularly is their opinion on what they view is gorgeous. i understand incredibly some adult males of all races that have confidence black women are beautiful so-it particularly is incredibly subjective. Oh properly.

First you need to decide for yourself if you really like this guy.
Don't listen to what people say. Make your own mind up.
It is not nice to lead this guy along.
The colour of a persons skin has no reflection on there personality.
Think long about this. Then once you have made that decision stick to it.
Good Luck

I can't tell you if you really like him or not. Only you know that. It seems that you haven't even given him a chance for you guys to get to know each other because you are so worried about what others may say. People are going to talk regardless. It's not fair to him or yourself if you don't at least give him a chance. He could be the one to make you the happiest, the one who finishes your sentences, the one who will treat you like his queen. Evidentally, he's not bothered by it, so why should you be? Give it a chance.

Well my advice is to take a chance on him. Color shouldn’t matter since you obviously don’t have a problem with it. But if you aren’t willing to stand up for yourself and him, if someone were to make a negative comment regarding your relationship, then maybe you should wait until you are prepared. Society has come a long way to accepting interracial relationships, but it still is a long way from being perfect.

i think you are afriad of what people will say about the situation but if you like the guy then i say go for, no matter what color he is......love isnt based color and thats not to say that you are in love with the dude but even still, you shouldnt base a relationship on color alone unless you are just that type of person

It all comes down to if you like him. You should care less of what others think or say. Remember - you have to live your life. No one else can live it for you. Follow your heart and not other people's heads.

i think you afraid of commiting and what other people think because if you like him then nothing else matters. Sometimes you have to take a chance and somtimes it's a good thing and sometime it's a bad but don't let everyone else make the desicion make it yourself.
