Yes, he is a very good singer and song writer.
He now goes by the name Yusuf islam. He has a new CD out called An Other Cup. His songwriting and singing is as good as ever. It is amazing that his voice now sounds the same as it did 30 years ago.

Hmm...you gotta love Mr. Yusuf Islam...hmm, if we are speaking approximately cat, than i gotta say "Peace practice" "in case you elect to sing out" and "father and son" yet so a techniques as 70's song is going, i might might desire to propose listening to Terry Reid's "brave Awakening" and "to be taken care of wonderful" , the latter being my popular song...wish you rejoice with!

I think he had some good songs, but not the best ever. He does have some nice songs. I do prefer Harry Chapin over him.
