Global warming is real. We can feel it. It has been the subject of much discussion but many of us don't know exactly what to do in our own little ways to help at least minimize or stop this problem. Governments talks a lot about it but action is not enough. We are running out of time. I am afraid the movie "Day After Tomorrow" will be a reality. If we are going to wait for the government for very concrete action, it might be too late, because people in the governments are more concern with power and politics. What can we do as an individual because I think if all our actions as individuals are put together, the effect would be greater?

In a word RECYCLE, in more than a word?...

if you stop using electricity generated by dirt burners, stop driving cars that run on dinosaurs and start recycling everything you use maybe just maybe it will make a difference. On a large scale it will never happen untill someone in the World Government makes it happen. (which will be a long time from now, if ever)

SOLAR and WIND power, Hydrogen Cell cars, composting foodwaste, rainwater irrigation, Hydroelectric and nuclear power are all options to consider... You can run your home on solar power today if you wanted to.

You can't. It would take EVERY PERSON ON THE PLANET to stop it. You by yourself cannot stop it. The best you could do is invent some power source that does not require burning coal, oil or natural gas.

But I suppose the question really means how can you set an example for others by conserving energy. Any idiot should know that you do that by driving less, driving a fuel efficient car when you have to drive, using energy efficient lights and appliances, and so on. It is a no brainer! Why do people keep asking this totally obvious question? It is like asking, how can you make better grades in school. Study of course!

Individuals can perhaps minimize it, but no individual can stop global warming on their own. I personally believe that global warming is part of human destiny, that the idea of stopping it is a feature of our own desire to survive, and the idea that we can stop it is a feature of our own egos. No species of animal will accept defeat despite insurmountable odds.

a standard one is to change your incandescent gentle bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs. If all of us did this it would make a measurable distinction. once you save for something that consumes capacity (automobile, home equipment, etc) seek for useful selections. each thing is categorised so which you will evaluate.
