I disagree and think it is a problem. It seems entirely logical to me that burning fossil fuels and cutting down vast quantities of trees would result in something like this

yes dude, global warming does exist.
in the past, the earth is just one peaceful planet where there isn't any ozone hole. but due to the pollution now, which sadly, created by WE humans, cause this hole to appear up in the ozone in the south pole.
you got the idea wrong that there's only one day in 5 billion years that the earth is extremely hot. the earth itself goes through periods. it's a kind of period like the 4 seasons. but the thing is, this kind of period only changes every few million years. we are now in he period call the ice epoch. within the ice epoch, there are ice ages which last for a few 100000years which alternate with shorter warmer periods known as interglacials which last about a few 10000 years. we are now currently reaching the end of the interglacials period, which also means, in another aproximately 1000yrs, ice age will come. another thing is that, we are very fortunate to have two ice caps, one in the north and the other in the south (this is also due to the arrangemens of the continent and warm ocean currents).
but the thing is, the temperature have been going up like faster than normal. some more, the sea level is already rising and unfortunately, submerged two of indonesia's island. a few hundred km wide ice jus break off from the north recently, which further warm people that the global temperature. hurricans, tonadoes are more geting more and more intense over the years. the scary thing is, the monsoon is also changing it's timing.Australia drought is also one of the serious issue.
if there is no global warming, where will the pollutants produced by humans' factories and machines, bombs go? escape into space? definately not. they don't have enough escape volocity to overcome the earth's gravitional pull. they remain happilly up in the earth's atmosphere and trap heat and causes the global temperature to rise..
this not some story to freak people out and make them run in the streets shouting, "ah!!! we are all going to die!!".. this is something very real and if we, humans don't do anything about it, we are going to face something bad, very bad.
in fact, the process has already begin..

You are confusing two unrelated environmental problems. The ozone hole has nothing to do with global warming. The hole does not cause warming and warming does not cause the hole.
Global warming is the result of LARGE amounts of carbon dioxide being added to the air by the burning of coal, oil and natural gas. This increases the ability of the atmosphere to block infrared light. When visible light strikes the ground and heats it up to "room temperature" and the ground starts to emit infrared light. The infrared light escapes into space to cool the Earth. Carbon dioxide blocks the outgoing infrared but not the incoming visible light, resulting in warming of the planet.
The ozone hole is the result of relatively small amounts of CFC chemicals, like Freon, being added to the air, largely by mistake when air conditioners leak. That reduces the amount of ozone in the upper air which allows ultraviolet light from the Sun to reach the ground. That causes sunburns and skin cancers, but does not warm the planet.

No, its not a bunch of crap. Global warming is a fact, and we are for sure killing the earth and our self.
The OPEC industry and lots of governments earn money from fossil fuel. But this is a real threat to our existence, much more dangerous than the terrorist threat.
In Sweden 3 days has had the highest temperatures ever recorded in December and January.

Climate scientists know all about _all_ the causes of global warming. They analyze them _all_. They talk about it, too, they don't ignore anything. Here's one example, volcanoes:
http://www.geology.sdsu.edu/how_volcanoe...
"Volcanic eruptions can enhance global warming by adding CO2 to the atmosphere. However, a far greater amount of CO2 is contributed to the atmosphere by human activities each year than by volcanic eruptions. Volcanoes contribute about 110 million tons/year, whereas other sources contribute about 10 billion tons/year."
And, putting all the analysis together, 99+% of climate scientists agree, considering _everything_, that man is causing an unusual, large, and rapid change to climate that is very dangerous.

Yes it is a possibility since we are at the end of the last ice age, but basically there is only some minor proof of it since the start of records and the invention of the thermometer.

Depending on who you ask there's "indisputable evidence" for both sides........the way I look at it is......in the 50's they had a big global cooling scare........nothing happened with that......we're not heading for a big ice age.......I think it's a bunch of crap

Ice caps are melting everywhere...........global warming is happening, however, we will not be able to fix it and the earth will either repair itself or destroy itself..........either way, there is nothing we can do but wait. Don't think it's crap, just because you can't see it.
