.daa isn't actually a media file. It's a PowerISO Direct-Access-Archive file, meaning that you need Power ISO to open it, or burn it.

When you've burnt the file to CD/DVD, you will undoubtedly find that it is a different file type, which you may then be able to play using a media player.

Of course, once opened by PowerISO, you may be able to simply extract the files to a folder on your hard drive, and then play it.
