Although people claim that popping your knuckles can cause arthritis, it's not true. All it does is release the access fluids that's trapped between the joints, and that's more than likely whats causing the pain. But none the less you don't want to pop them to often (like every hour), otherwise you'll cause to much friction on the joints. So when your knuckles are bothering you go ahead and pop them.

There is nothing wrong with popping your knuckles. You won't get arthritis. Your knuckles won't get bigger. Everything you hear like that is usually an old-wives tale.
I pop my knuckles at least 2-3 times an HOUR. I have for as long as I can remember (at least 18 years). No ill effects yet! :)

It's not bad - it is just an old wife's tale that popping your knuckles will give you arthritis. Some physio therapists actually say it's good for your joints to do it every now and then. Whether that's true or not I don't know, but it is definitely not harm full.

I do that A LOT too.
It's bad for you because they thicken your knuckes...
After a while you can see the changes of your hand..!
Your finger gets thicker!!
They do something to your joints...
