I just recently heard about mono, and my friends told me you get it when you kiss alot of people in a certain amount of time...
how many people do you have to kiss to get that??

You only have to kiss one person to get mono - a person who already has it. Obviously the more people you kiss the greater chance you have of contracting mono, but you only need one...

You do not have to kiss someone to get mono, you can get it from drinking from someone that has it. Also, you can kiss just one person and get it, if that one person has it. The person has to already have mono in order to give it to you. So, you can kiss 500 ppl, and may never get mono, but if the 499th person you kiss has it, you will get it too.

You can get MONO without kissing! Young children can get mono as well. I had in it in college. I was not kissing anyone. I was very tired all the time and was sleeping all the time. I finally went to the ER and was diagnosed.
It is called the kissing sickness because it is the easiest way to spread it.

your friend is an idiot, ther is no number of people you have to kiss before you get mono. if the first person you kiss has mono you get mono. but you can get it other ways, sharing a drink or food.

You don't have to kiss anyone to get mono. Simply sharing utensils, cups, drinking glasses, (coughing and sneezing from the infected person) can get you the disease if you are around an infected person. Check out this link. Maybe this will help and hopefully teach you not to listen to your friends!

No all you have to do is kiss a person infected with mono to get it, it has nothing to do with how many you kiss.

you can get it the first time u kiss someone who carries the viris.its an infectious diease. so if the person u think about kissing, his voice sounds a little different then normal, i would hold off about 2 weeks, before kissing him. i know thats a long time to wait but the wait will be worth it.
