im an infomaniac interested in almost everything so every day i consume hundreds of kb of information. can it cause overload?

No not all. In a research it was found that average human beings uses only 30 % of their brain in entire life. So you see you can use as much you can it is not going to be damaged at any cost.

Considering we only use about a 1/3 of our brains I don't think so but I would recommend regular breaks and mediation from time to time just to keep you at your optimum.

yes it can especially if you are stressed about other things then u can go coo-coo.otherwise u'll be fine from once u take breaks and dont abuse ur brain cells.

sometimes...I also have 2 engineering degrees and some days I just get all screwed up and start to mix things up in my head...
