I wouldn't go to a place JUST BECAUSE I went there with an ex and wanted to be reminiscent or sad. On the other hand, if it's a place I want to go, like a great restaurant, I'm not going to avoid it because I went there with him.

I prefer not to visit them at all for a long time after the break up. (even if I broke up with him) Eventually I will go back and I will eventually not associate the place with the ex.

i have been places with my husband since my exes but it took me along time to go back to those places it was so hard it did hurt . but my husband does not know where i went with my exes or anything only a few places so atleast hes not aware of it otherwise it would be so awkward mind you im fine now about going places im all happy and settled it just takes a while :)

Sometimes i visit places like that on accident. I dont mean to, but i do. I try to avoid places like that, because it just brings back memories. Its not that its hurtful, its just uncomfortable to know that my ex and i had our make out session right here:)

ofcourse i do....!when it comes to an EX that means this part is ended and after ending a part clearly ther shouldn't b any leftover,which can affect ur current relation.u can go to those places,even if u meet him ther u should hav any effect ,coz u r making relation after the previous one and u may ahv decided and found somthing better in ur current one and i m sure ur partner makes u such happy that u wont hav any effect,AND FOR WAT U CAN DO - DONT THINK ABOUT PAST,IF IT WOULD EFFECT OR NOT,,,,,,ETC JUST FEEL THE MAGICAL MOMENTS U SPEND WITH UR PARTNER I M SURE U 'LL HAVE A BLAST WHEREVER U GO

Of course I do. If I avoided the places my ex's go to I'd never leave the house. i bump i nto them but they just look the other way and end up bumping into walls lit... lol

I neither consciously go to or avoid places that I went to with my ex-wife. If my wife and I want to go there we do and if we don't we don't. My ex doesn't factor into the equation one way or another.

Sure. One of my first boyfriends in this state (I'm from another state) introduced me to our wonderful county parks system. I still go to the parks with my husband and our kids.
