Hi Jane,
if it is a first offence then the magistrates will be pretty leniant. A fine of a couple of hundred or so and 3 points. The reason you are being reported for summons is because of the excessive speed you were travelling at. If you had been doing 90mph you would have got a ticket at the roadside.
Dress smart, mind your p's and q's in the courtroom. Apologise for being reckless and assure them it won't happen again and things should be OK.

In the UK if you are caught speeding 30 mph over the road speed limit then it is goodbye Driving Licence for at least one year,
for example if the road speed limit is 30 mph and you are caught doing 60 mph then that is a ban, or if you where on the motorway the limit is 70 mph and you are caught driving at 100 mph then that is a ban also and sometimes there is a fine as well.
if you drive for a living then you could even be out of a job for you wont be able to drive while the ban is in force.

You were rushing. The officer no longer showing as a lot as court docket gained't get you out of a value tag many of the time Take duty on your movements like an man or woman. it truly is what you should do. Why in the international do you opt for your sister there as a witness? except she will be an absolute fool and lie in court docket, she's only going to assert that you would possibly want to have the ability to were doing 20mph + over the speed minimize. back, you're literally not getting out of the cost tag that you deserve. decelerate and also you gained't ought to rigidity about this difficulty back.

You may not lose your licence as it depends on your circumstances. My friend was caught doing 104mph on a motorway but argued he needed his car for his job and only got 6 points and a fine of about £100. He does have the ability to talk his way out of things but if you plead guilty and state your case the magistrate may be lenient, good luck!

I wouldn`t be surprised if your banned because that was way off the speed limit which is 70mph on the motorway if you didn`t know
Or you`l have a big fine and more than likely 6 points on your licence

The (only) benefit of going to court is that you have the chance to explain yourself. Like Marcus says, be polite and helpful to the court, apologise deeply for being so stupid and you may be treated leniently. Just in case, though, don't make the mistake of driving to court & trying to drive home afterwards if you are unfortunate enough to be banned - more than one's been arrested for that.

you will get a sp50 which is exceeding speed limit on a motorway the fine can be up to £2,500 and between 3 and 6 penalty points on your licence or you could receive a ban it up to the judge. if you have had your licence less than 2 year and you receive 6 or more penalty points on your licence it will be revoked, which means you will have to reapply for a provisional licence, and resit you theory and practical tests again.

In England any speed over 100mph will normally result in a ban of about 4-6 weeks.
If you can't afford to lose you licence you shouldn't have been doing 38mph over the maximum speed limit.

Depends on the area and the court as to what you'll get, but they have the power to ban you if you were doing over 100 mph.
