why do i keep getting terrible shooting pains in my lower abdomonal area- when i have them i cannot move the pain is that bad, also my lower stomach sometimes is tender and swollen.

well.... if its left lower side it could be an intestinal problem ( virus, irritation, or diverticulitis(infection in intestins) ) or stool back up. Both of these things cause really sharp pains on your left side. If it is on your right lower side it could be dealing with your appendix. Either way you can only get your cause and remedy from the doctor. He needs to examin you and maybe get a CT of your Mid-section. I would go now because diverticulitus and Appendix are serious problems.

u could have , what is called, diverticalitis, i dont want to scare you, but this is a serious problem. i had it, an they had to take out part of my colen. what this diease does is stop up ur colen so only a little bit of ur feces are getting through thus causing sevier pain. if u let it got un treated, it will burst, and poison ur entire system, where u will have to be operated on, and wear a colospy bag, for several weeks. and it can kill you. i know this sounds scary, but get to ur dr, or emergency room now. it could be somethink else, but without an colenospty u wont know. ill be praying for u. god bless

I suspect appendicitis in last stage. If there is constipation/ gas it confirms. Now check your right side of abdomen below umbilicus at 30 to 40 degree angle. If pain is there a few inches away it confirms appendicitis. Doctors can palpate it easily. So in all conditions you pl approach doctor.

It could be anything. Without seeing you or hearing more of your symptoms, it's impossible to guess what's going on. Go to your family doctor, where s/he can run tests and examine you properly to determine what's going on.
It could be anything, from pelvic inflammatory disease to renal stones to endometriosis to irritable bowel syndrome to ovarian cysts to just a simple gastroinstestinal upset. Get it checked out.

sounds like your gall bladder. could be anything. when it gets swollen its a deffinate you should see a doctor. could be an ulcer, could be anything. lots of things in that stomach. I wouldnt wait around and see. pendicitis. go to a doctor. whats wrong with you people.
ovarian cysts hurt like hell.
