I'm having worries about when I get married because I have a tattoo of a Playboy bunny with its ear flopped over with my name under it on my left shoulder blade that I got about 2 years ago. When I was a cheerleader in high school, one of the captains had a tattoo of a large tiger on her shoulder blade and it would show through the uniform so we would have to cover it up. She would take white costume face paint and cover the enitre tattoo and then take some foundation (or concealer) that matched her skin tone and put it over the face paint. You'd never know she had a tattoo. And it stayed covered throughout football and basketball games. I plan on doing this when I get married and thought it might be some good advice for you.

I heard dermablast works pretty good. I've done a lot of research because I have a huge tattoo that I'm going to cover up for my wedding. I According to some reviews that I read it doesn't rub off.

It really depends on the tat and what it looks like.
How faded it is, etc.
