They can come in different shapes but, get very expensive to develop and produce.
To produce any thing, unit cost has to absorb tooling, overhead and incidental, R&D,test and certifications____, costs so if there is no demand then the item gets costly , and impractical.
About a year ago a regular bulb shape is marketed in USA.

a cylinderical shape emits light evenly while the other shapes do not do so,
It is energy efficient to produce cylinderlical shape.
Other several shapes are available in the market but they are decorative ones.
