He was born in mexico and came over here illegally 16 years ago.He went to H.S. in Texas but has no social security card ,driver's license/ID or any form of ID. Only know his place and date of birth from marriage certificate. How can I divorce him? And will it cost more because I can't find him?

It's not very hard. Tell the Court you do not know where he is. Then you can get an Order to serve him by publishing a notice of pendency of suit in the newspaper. This is extremely common and not just for illegal aliens. In my state, the notice runs in the legal section of the classifieds for 4 days. This could vary in Texas. Publication costs roughly $70 dollars here.

file for the divorce, they will send papers to his last known address, go to the court and if he doesnt show they should just let the divorce happen!
my brother went thru that with his wife! she was legal, but she didnt show for court and the judge issued the divorce! lol...sounds funny but it's true!
My aunt did it too! The other party didnt think that they had to be there and the divorce wont finalize, but it does finalize so you will be good to go!!!
good luck!

Get a lawyer...you just have to send the divorce papers to his last known address. It doesn't matter if he never gets them.

you post a "to whom it may concern" letter for your husband after filing divorce papers in the court. a default judgment is entered against him. Presto! divorced.
