You greatly misunderstand Christians and why they refer to the Bible which is the Word of God. The Bible is not manipulated in any way in fact it is one of the most substantiated writings in all of antiquity having more manuscripts by the thousands than any other written document. It has survived, in tact ,for thousans of years and is a true Christians basis for doctrine, moral guide line and a source of great comfort. You cannot separate a Christian from the Word of God because it is the source of faith and instruction.
As for "self titled", another misunderstanding on your part. Since you refuse to read the Bible, you don't know what God calls people who believe in and follow Jesus Christ. Jesus told us in the Bible, we must be "born again". That is where the term comes from.
Perhaps you are the arrogant, prideful one who refuses to at least read the text where Christians get their understanding of who they are in Christ. What are you afraid of? Perhaps you are afraid of the Truth. There is nothing imaginary about God or His Son, Jesus Christ. The same Bible you so openly condemn says that one day you will stand in front of God for judgment.
God's invitaion is for you too. He wants everyone to know Him and to spend eternity with Him. His written Word is the way to find out how to do that. The Bible says that when a person accepts Jesus Christ as the Messiah or Savior, he becomes a new person. He also becomes a citizen of Heaven and has the same inheritance (eternally) as Jesus Christ. The price that was paid for this extravagent gift was the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. Christians are nothing but forgiven sinners. The invitation to have your sins forgiven is still open. You can know the peace that Jesus Christ gives and the forgiveness of sin as well as receive the gift of eternal life with God after you die.
May the Truth of God pursue you and set you free.

I am a Christian and I believe that there must be a creator to be such a valuable intelligent creation. Although, at times on this site it is difficult to call the conversation intelligent. The BIBOLE was written over a 1600 year period by more than 40 writers and there were so many prophesies written that were true about Jesus Christ that it is difficult to imaging HIS not being the SAVIOR that was spoken about there. We read and study the scriptures to be as accurate in our studies as is possible. He expects us to do so. I will not reference the BIBLE since you are not interested in reading it but it has too much TRUTH in it to ignore everything that is there. Have a great day.

I've never gotten the whole "born again" thing either, I am Christian(Mormon) but I don't say that I am born again, I was baptised when I was eight and I receive a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel when I was nineteen, but it is different for everyone, some come around sooner or later. Sorry if I wasn't any help, but I wasn't born again, only once.

Thank you for your nice polite question.
I will try and give you a polite answer. Our whole lives are based upon the Bible. That is where we get our beliefs, and attitudes and way of thinking from. I suppose the bases of your life is your reasoning abilities so of course you want us to come into your "ball park" and discuss the issues on your basic terms. We can't do that. Human reason and Gods reasoning are not the same. It is a fact of discussion that we try and draw you into the Bible where we are comfortable, and you try and draw us into your reasoning where you are comfortable. That is the way it is.
Isaiah 55:8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. 9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.

that is a racist remark. Yellow is what human beings say is the shade of Asian's pores and skin. And for that factor that the video became performed in, which i'm assuming became in like the 70's by technique of ways the video seems human beings might want to call cowardly human beings yellow.

you confuse the things that "born again" Christians say with what the one, true
Living God says.....
it is not what Christians say;
Christians just refer you to God's Word
so that you may know the Truth.
but, in your particular case, it appears that you would not believe the Truth if it smacked you up side the head.....
twice.
why "cast pearls before swine" as the Bible says.
"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness;
but unto us that are saved it is the power of God."
1 Corinthians 1:18
"Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools".
Romans 1:22
"The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:14 (New International Version)

I am a christian but do not use the phrase 'born again' it is an american evangelical expression. One thing I have noticed is that the ' born again' christians think that those who do not use this phrase or speak in tongues are wrong, or have something missing. This also includes my faith! What arrogance! Most 'born again' christians are wellmeaning but are obsessed and self-centred where Christ is concerned. Faith and religion are to be lived and shared. A person has to forget themselves and walk the walk!

It's called blind faith. They believe that the Bible is the word or God. They are blinded in their willfull suspension of disbelief, to the possibility that it isn't God's word. So the feel that their explanation is unnecessary and pales in comparisson to the word of the Bible. Mad, yes, unreasonable, yes. But come on now, these are born agains, you hardly expected reason, did you?
