Being a married woman, my first thought would be, "what are you after." LoL (that was a joke) It's very romantic, and it would make me feel very important, if not a little mystified. If my husband wrote something like that for me, I would definately have to kiss him. I wouldn't really put this under the category of "sweet." Mainly because when women use that word they use it in a, "you're just a brotherly type I'm not really interested," sort of way. This seems more a lyrical verse, for a woman you have alot of respect and love for, I like it.

Assuming someone who'd been "admiring" me from afar wrote it and gave it to me - I'd feel a bit stalked.

It is a lovely verse. Be careful tho they maybe men on line that want to pinch that from you and use it on there own girlfriends /wife's and try to make out that it is there own.
