I have an '03 and had a '92 Dodge conversion van. Both had the 5.2 Liter Magnum engine. The owner's manual recommends 87 octane unleaded fuel, which is what I have always used. I occasionally have used premium or midrange, especially at higher altitudes, but honestly could not tell the difference. Although I have always liked my vans, the mileage is not its strong point. If your van runs better on midrange, and the price is not much different, using it will not hurt anything. I would avoid making any sweeping decisions based upon the impression from one tank of gas.

Usually there are a lot of impurities in the regular gas, 89 is a little more pure and 93 is ever more pure. All I run in my truck is 93. It is expensive, but I get excellent gas mileage, it all kinda equals out in the wash, but regular fuel is bad for the fuel injectors and can gunk up in the cylinders.

come across a extra useful mechanic. maximum autos which have a gas pump in the tank actually have a clear out on the pump. many of the time you in reality favor to drop the tank from the motor vehicle and the pump is obtainable from the great. it truly is a tremendous type of labor and it appears like you guy isn't fascinated in the job and who can blame him it truly is a stinky and severe priced job yet i'm positive it truly is more reasonable then a clean motor vehicle. sturdy success
