It is a symptom of the times. I got some hate mail from a fellow Y Answers guy who wrote all cops were gay and ate donuts. When I argued with him, he wrote back a reply about how I was stupid to teach Spanish because they were bad, worthless people.
Racist people, regardless of their IQs are a bunch of sad, angry little people who are no better than rats or cockroaches.
Just rise above them and consider the source, it will make you crazy to try and figure out why they hate.
