It's true that some "stars" are taking hoodia diet pills to suppress appetite. It's also true that some of them are saying it works.
The reality is, hoodia gordonii diet pills are a mixed bag. For starters, there are very few studies on them as they're relatively new and the anecdotal evidence is mixed. Some dieters swear by them, while others say they're a complete waste of money.
So to answer your question, does hoodia work, it depends. It may be effective for you or it may not. The only way to truly answer the question is to try it yourself. The good news is, so far hoodia is safe. I say "so far" because as I mentioned, there aren't many studies on hoodia weight loss pills and they haven't been around that long so we don't know what the long term side effects are.
If you decide to buy hoodia diet pills, there are two very important things to know. First, be sure you buy 100% authentic hoodia gordonii. A study was done last year that showed over 60% of the hoodia supplements sold are fake! I've provided a link below that provides a checklist of the things to look for when you buy hoodia to ensure you don't get scammed.
The second thing to know is the dosage. Experts say it could take as much as 3 grams of hoodia gordonii per day for the appetite suppressant qualities to take affect. Those who say it didn't work may not have been taking enough. I'm not suggesting you need to take that much, I'm just saying that if you try hoodia weight loss pills and they don't work, you may need to experiment with the dosage.
Finally, just remember that all hoodia does is suppress appetite. It doesn't magically melt the fat away. So if you're looking for an effortless way to lose weight, hoodia isn't it. And to be completely honest with you, there is no "effortless way" to lose weight. As already mentioned, you need to diet and exercise for effective and long-term weight loss!
Good luck to you!

It is no different than all the other pills on the market that promise fast weight loss.
Sure, you will lose a good amount of weight while taking it.. but the day you stop taking the pills, you will notice a major change in your body. You will feel hunger beyond control, and the weight will pile back on.. very quickly.
You will not see any permanent weight loss with any pill or shake out there.
Healthy weight loss is about eating right and getting plenty of exercise. Losing more than 1-2 pounds per week is very unhealthy, and also very likely to be gained back.
Achieving permanent weight loss goals is about making some very serious lifestyle changes.. not popping some pill that promises quick results.

I am hired at a neighborhood pharmacy. I, truthfully, might no longer propose that any one take hoodia. I say this considering this so known as "treatment" isn't FDA accepted. I can not make your selections for you, but when you're going to keep to take "drugs" akin to this, keep with some thing that's FDA accepted. For illustration, Alli. It's extra high priced, however it is accepted by way of the Food and Drug Administration.

Hoodia is nothing more that the latest "fad" herbal supplement. it has next to zero medical research behind it. it has a mild effect as an appetite suppressant with no effect on lipolysis (fat loss).

Basically, it jacks you up - think WAY too much caffeine. It's bad for your body. If you're young, it's especially bad because your body is still developing. If you have any health conditions, it will make the problem worse. At the minimum, you'll feel jittery, your stomach may hurt, you may get headaces and feel dizzy. There is no "quick fix". Exercise, eat healthy foods, cut out soda, etc...
Peace!
Oh, and any weight you lose, will probably be gained back when you stop taking it and eat regularly again...
