Hi there again Dan...spot on treatments such as Frontline, Advantage, Revolution are very effective at flea infestations and they do work and are more safe than most over the counter flea product remedies. Revolution would be best because this also combats ear mites, ticks and other infestations the other two do not cover and since you are in the Philippines this would be the most cost-effective option for Jigz.

One tube is for one month's protection so each 3-packs hold a 3 month supply.

Here's a website about Hartz products (applies to most over the counter flea products) you may find interesting about why over the counter flea products are not safe: http://www.hartzvictims.org/index.php

In my opinion the spot on treatment is much more effective and easier to use than the spray though it is more expensive. You need one pack for each cat and it should be repeated every month. Having said that I don't like putting unnecessary chemicals into my cats so I usually only treat mine in the summer. We have no carpets so the fleas don't have many places to breed and in the winter we never see any. The problem with the spray is that it has to come into contact with the flea to be effective and as most of the time the flea is not on the animal that leaves a lot untreated. The spot on stuff gets into the cats system and the flea dies when it bites the cat so the effects last longer.

The 'spot on' flea treatments are great - Much more effective than sprays, dips, powders... - which, by the way, can all be ingested by Kitty as she licks her fur clean. Not so with the 'spot on' treatments. They generally go onto the neck, right between the shoulder blades - where Kitty can't reach easily.

No, you don't use all 3 tubes at once. Just one per month - unless Kitty has special needs, and will need it every 3 weeks - but talk to your Vet. They'll tell you how often to use it.

If you do opt to go with the 'spot on' treatment, again, talk to your vet, You want one that will kill the flea eggs as well as the adults. Otherwise, you'll get rid of the adults, but still have fleas as soon as the eggs hatch.

Also, some kitties are prone to getting worms from fleas. It happens when Kitty cleans her self, and ingests a flea. I've got 2 cats, 1 is prone to getting worms, and the other isn't bothered by it. Both my cats are on 'spot on' treatments every 3 weeks - just to prevent the one from getting worms.

Good luck!

Frontline Plus kills fleas in every stage of development and it also kills ticks. Use one vial every 30 days. UPCO has a reasonable price compared to what a vet might charge it comes in 3pk or 6pk size. UPCO has a printed catalog and also an online site. Frontline does come in a spray but that is usually used for spraying on a cottonball for dabbing on facial areas where nymph stage ticks like to attach themselves and it not recommended for "all body use" because it is easier for the animal to "lick it off". The content of each vial is administered at the base of the cat's skull and in that area it is not likely for the cat to lick it off. So, shop around for a good price for the 3 or 6 packs and don't use the spray.

Well I use advantage but frontline is good too. You apply it to the skin of the back of the neck and it gives the skin a chemical that repels fleas. You're lucky at buying it at $25. I pay $39 for 4 applications. In truth, I have never seen a spray Frontline before.

I buy Frontline Plus on Ebay from an overseas seller and it is MUCH cheaper then at the petstore. I had a terrible flea problem when I moved into my new home and finally broke down and got the Frontline. It was almost instant that they were gone.

frontline comes in packs of 3 or 6 months. the 6 pack is cheaper. I have found it really great to use. very easy to apply. i have never used the spray on type so cant help you there. i buy mine on line it is way cheaper than buying it from the vets or pet supply stores.

We always use Frontline on our cats.
Never had a problem with it and it works great.
NO, you only use one tube at a time, DO NOT use all three at once.

I've never heard of spray Frontline so I"m not sure how well it would work, but like I said the one spot treatment is what we use and it works great.

You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.
