Advantages of Wind energy:
1) Its free, rather than the capital expenditure incured on erecting a fan and motor and fixing required cables and maintenance cost. Its relatively cheaper than most conventional energy sources.
2) Its Non polluting.
3) It can be used at any place where wind speed is more than a certain min. and it does not require liscence.
4) each wind mill takes very less space and can be erected inopen fields, on hill slops etc.

The main advantage,after your initial investment it"s free.
If too much energy was extracted from the wind it could cause far reaching and serious weather conditions.
