Carpet Recommendation?

I have never purchased new carpet and do not know where to begin. What type of carpet is best for high traffic areas? This will be stairs, hallway and bedroom.

We just purchased a new carpet for our home, I had never purchased one new before either.
The one we got was a Mohawk brand with stain guard on it.
Make sure the seller at the carpet place explains the yarn count to you too. This makes a big difference in carpet.
Also when buying a padding for underneath the carpet, we bought a platinum one because of the high traffic here and we wanted a little cushion on the floors.

Ask for industrial carpet as it is a more heavy duty and inexpensive.

I have it in my shop for last 10 yrs and it does not wear out.

There are different materials of rugs. fist, you need to decide where to put. For bedroom, I'd recommend cotton rug and fiber rug.
