I may not give you an exact outlook of how it feels, maybe because I'm a girl. But I suggest that you better move those feet toward the girl you wanted to be with. Don't play on the safe side. There's nothing wrong if you'll take a risk just to be happy. If it hurts you, then let it be. It will not take your whole life to recover. When a girl ignores you at first, maybe it's because she's looking forward to the ways you'll do to convince her. Look, girls want to be pleased at all times...try it now,,regret is waiting for cowards...tell me, are you one of them?

All depends how it is done, but never great. A significant number of women seem to be bad at rejecting nicely, or diverting to just friendship.
A few very confident guys just ask lots of women out and take rejection in their stride. Most guys need to work up some courage, especially if they really like the girl, so rejection hurts.
Try asking some guys out, and see how you feel when they turn you down. Of course unless you are really unpleasant or ugly, not many will turn you down for just a 1st date.

Before a guy asks a girl out, he usually falls in love with her a little and sometimes a lot.
And when she rejects him, then she crushes and smashes all those feelings he has for her.
And of course, the rejected guy goes around reeling for a while after all that crushing and smashing of his feelings inside him.

May I please intrude on this conversation, I know you asked the guys but as a woman I want you to know rejection is difficult for both male and female, from experience I have learnt the only way to get over being rejected is to keep trying and replace one person with another, as long as you don't give up.
Nothing makes rejection better than exception but that you will only find if you keep looking.
Good luck

hurts like hell and more so as if its a girl we like and know then often we are about to loose best mate as she wont want to be mates anymore... maybe say in a club may trun everyone else against you too so you loose mates and club...
You feel worthelss, unwanted and often its on top of other rejections so you feel you will never get with anyoen, whats the point. Maybe next time you like someone never letting them find out and maybe end up with hookers eventually.
Hurts a lot and very off putting, no more confidence

gutted with low self esteem. Thereafter it's down to the individual - you can either get depressed about it, or shrug it off and carry on.
