is fasting for one week, just drinking only water and fruit juice be ok, will i lose any weight ?

OK, so lets first start out by realizing that this is a BAD idea! First of all, you will pass out, oh yeah, and it will happen, unless you're guzzeling 5 gallons of fruit cocktail, in which case makes the fast rediculous. Second, fruit juice isn't all it's cracked up to be. People think that just because it says "fruit" its healthy, more often than not, its not the case. Now, lets say you do your "fast". Your metabolism, blood sugar, water in your body, etc. will suffer and you'll gain back all the weight you thought you lost. If you want to loose weight, do it the real way. Diet healthy, and exercise your *** off!!! It really is the only way, Sorry!

That doesn't matter. When the week is up you may have lost some weight from not eating but you will gain what you have lost plus a considerable amount because you will be so hungry that you will almost eat the arm off of some kid. Lose the weight in a good way. If you really wanna lose weight, exercise, lift weights to make the fat that you have appeasing to others, drink a lot of water, and eat breakfast early in the morning, about 6:30am. Don't eat later than 3 hours before you go to bed. Exercise aerobically, that means running, walking, or whatever to get your heart rate up for about 20 minutes per day minimum an hour max. If you can't go for 20 minutes work up until you can. Weight loss is a job that takes patience.

Its possibly the worst way to loose weight your body will start eating your muscles, then when you begin eating again your body will store it as fat as fast as it can just in case you starve your self again.
basically the weight loss will only be temporary, how can you be so desperate to lose weight that you would go to such drastic measures, these things take time you didnt put on all the weight in one week so you will not loose it in one week either,
Just stick to a balanced diet with regular exercise to boost your matabolism.
forget the starvation it wont work.

yes, you will lose mostly water and muscle...

the body starts to enter a catabolic state once the lower GI is empty. when this occurs the catabolic hormones cortisol and glucagon become elevated. cortisol attacks muscle proteins (lean body mass) in an attempt to supply the body with amino acids that are need for biological functions. glucagon targets glycogen which is stored in the liver and in skeletal muscle.

your body fasts every night when you go to sleep. this is the only fast that the body needs...

Not eating a thing is a compleatly safe weight lose method. i'm 27, ive not eaten for 23 years and i weigh a healthy 13 stone! i had my last slip of water in 1996. i chew my own gums when im hungary.

for sure but as soon as you start to eat you will put it back on. I have just done a detox week eating only tons of fruit and veg and water and lost 6lb in a week, has to be better for you to do it that way plus I never felt hungry.

you will loose weight but then will regain it the following week when you eat normal there is only one way to loose it permanently thats good healthy eating and exercises
