I moved from the UK to NZ to work in education for a few years. I found that although I earned less, my money went much further and the opportunities for promotion and advancement were excellent. The place is breathtakingly beautiful, the climate gentle (storms, volcanoes and earthquakes aside) and the people welcoming and sociable. It's also got a vibrant (multi) cultural scene with arts, music, literature and performance adding to the richness of society. Over the last 10 years it has also developed a wonderful cafe culture in even small towns, and of course Kiwis still take every opportunity to get out of the urban areas back into the diverse nature of the islands. It's an experience I thoroughly relished and am hoping to move back eventually. There's a fair bit of paperwork to organize beforehand, but it's do-able.

Not an experience to be missed!

I don't live there, but I was there for several months a couple of years ago and I absolutely loved it. Culturally it's not that different from the UK, except the way of life is more relaxed, the people are friendlier and the scenery is better! Why not take a holiday and see what you think?
