I usually read many of the other answers, then give them a thumbs up or down depending on whether I think they are good answers.

I do if it's a question that interests me.
Sometimes others will give better answers and so I get to learn something or verify what I said.
In the Business forums, this is especially useful because there are often laws that I forget about and there are a few tax experts and CPA's running around in there.

I read them before I answer so I won't post a reply that's already been given. If I do answer, I give the others the courtesy of reading theirs.

I do. I usually find out something interesting from others' answers and also so that I won't repeat something that has been said by others.

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. I'm a slow typist and usually someone gives a faster shorter version of my answer.

I do more often than not. Just to see the viewpoints of others regarding a question.

I do, to make sure I'm not repeating what someone else said. It still happens, though. Some people are faster typists.

All those that are "not" so self absorbed with the fascination of seeing their own narcissistic drivel in print...
