Use Skype to practice your English on-line. Skype has wide band codecs (8 kHz) which is better than a telephone and you can hear very clearly -- great to practice your English.

The English language is not important except possibly to the English who think their's is the only official language here in UK. Bad news for any little Englanders reading this because Welsh, the oldest British language spoken quite widely here in UK is also an official language. Go to Welsh speaking Wales and you'll find a lot of folk who are not interested in speaking to you or anyone else in anything other than Welsh. Why should kids, who's native tongue just happens to be Urdu have to go about speaking English? They're not going to. If the lack of English in many of our schools is a problem, then we all know who to blame, don't we? Why the UK.gov of course, who else; I mean they allowed them to come here and settle and find work and pay taxes etc etc. No one has the God given right to force people to speak English if they do not want to. My Grandfather of fond memory, a veteran of the Bore War and WW-One, was forced to wear a heavy wooden placard in school in Welsh Speaking Wales with the words Welsh Not carved into it's face. So you may well understand why I am unable to speak Welsh because the English forced hundreds of thousands of the Welsh to speak what for them was a foreign language. The same crap is now being forced upon the speakers of such as Urdu and so forth.

How about learning English on-line? This way it does not matter which city you are, you can find the best teacher for the language.

I know a website that offers an on-line Lanaguage learning program. This program contains comprehensive English and Spanish lessons from pronounciation, conversation, to sophisticated Business Presentation. There are lessons for novice learner for Mandarin, Russian, and Latvian as well. There are interactive audio lessons and tests to help you learn English progressively.
