My sister and her fiance have been dating for over 3 years and have one child together. They are very much in love and have been planning this wedding for a long time. Just the other day she found out that her fiance is actually our father's secret love child. She was devistated. The entire time that she has been dating her fiance our father knew this information and failed to mention it to her. He said that he wanted her to be happy and didn't want to disapoint her with this news. Now she finds out that the man that she has loved for all of these years is actually her blood brother. What should she do? Should they still get married? They have a child together!

What a turn of events. Before everyone freaks out, get, as others suggested (1) a DNA to make sure he is in fact her brother. If he is (2) it is likely that you will not be able to be married because most laws prohibit marriage between immediate family. (3) They have a child together, and the child seems healthy. So no more children. (4) Contact a therapist and both of them go to work out options. One option if they can deal with it, is to just continue having a life together. Love transcends many difficult situation and this is one that they did not get into knowingly.

I certainly wish them the best.

I would says get the DNA test done. But at this point they may as well stay together and try and make it work. The damage has already been done and cannot be undone so it will continue to bother them anyways. Why not try and stay together. Lets remember they didnt do anything wrong.

If the child they have together is not deformed in any way then let them go ahead. Moreover the only one who trully knows that the child is hers is a woman.Men might make mistakes.

if then they have to use protection in order not to risk having a baby with some kid of disability. i have a friend that there cozen that they married and one child is normal but one has lots of problems his disabled. they can risk it but then they can do a blood test to see if they are really that close in relation to each other. good luck

She should get a DNA test to make sure it isn't a lie, then if it is true she will have to call it off, that is considered insest and you can't marry your blood relatives its against the law.
