yes they are and you can eat about 7 a week, which means one per day with the yolk. but if you eat the whites, which is the portion with all the proteins and almost none of the cholestrol, then go ahead and enjoy as many as you like!

An egg day is the limit, so i heard...
but that don't mean u should eat one everyday...there are so many things that we eat during the day that contain eggs in one form or another - from breads to sweet little nothings, from sauces to salads, from quiches to casseroles - and sometimes the eggs are so concealed, we don't even realize we are eating eggs!

Recent studies indicate that an egg per day is 'healthy' for those individuals that aren't experiencing cholesterol related problems, or health problems associated with the heart.

So to sum up, 1 egg yolk contains over two-thirds (213 mg) the recommended daily allowance (300 mg) of cholesterol.

oh nd remember...Life is no yolk!

Hope this helps...
Good luck!

total cholesterol values are mainly genetic.

it is the ratio of HDL-C:LDL-C that's important. consuming plenty of monounsaturated fats will help to increase your HDL-C levels thus improving the ratio

consuming the recommended 30 grams of fiber a day will help to reduce total cholesterol values.

* I consume about 6 whole eggs daily and my total cholesterol is 128 mg/dl
