The most beautiful place on earth. Each island is different, with it's own feeling, and topography. Honolulu is a city on the island of Oahu. That is where Waikiki, Pearl Harbor, Kailua beach, are. Great shopping, great golfing, great snorkeling, great surfing. It is the most populated island, however, you can find a lot of space that is "rural". Best of both worlds on Oahu.
The big island is named "Hawaii". It is very rural, without much in the way of shopping. When you land at Kailua-Kona airport, it looks like you landed on the moon. Nothing but black lava covering the landscape everywhere. But soon, you will see beautiful flowers growing out of that lava. And you will see the most wonderful graffiti on the side of the road. Locals and tourists take lots of pieces of white coral and lay them out on the black lava, spelling out wonderful sentiments. On the opposite side of the island is Hilo. This area is very green, and is one of the wettest places on earth. On Hawaii island, you can find snow on the mountain top in the winter, lava flowing into the ocean, sea turtles sleeping on black sand or green sand beaches.
Kauai island is very green. It is also not very populous, and has few main roads that are very crowded when going through towns. Driving north to Princeville area and beyond, you will cross over several one-car wide bridges. You learn to take turns and allow others to go before you. This is part of "aloha", acknowledging others' as fellow human beings.
Maui island, is a golfer's haven.

Honolulu, Hawaii is a Beautiful island. The North Shore is famous for The Pipeline, and Sunset Beaches awesome shore breaks. The beaches on the South like Waikiki, Bowls, and Courts are beautiful and great to excercise running, swimming, biking, and surfing. Lots of fishing in Hawaii, yearly. The Hawaiians make great Luau's with island girls dancing "Hula", and they serve delicious Kaulua Pig, LauLau, Lomi-Salmon, Poi, and Haupia(coconut pudding). Enjoy!
The Hawaiian Island became very diversed with all nationality gathering. You can find a majority of diversity restuarants in Hawaii such as Pizza, McDonalds, Jack-in-the-Box,Kabobs,Kalbi, Sushi, with great 24 hours like Zippy's, Coffee Shops.
Hawaiians are friendly and giving "The Aloha". The scenery are breath-taking, it take about 2 hrs to drive around the whole island, and you have to stop at the sweet corn/prawns/Big Shrimp Stands in Kahuku, and the famous Shave Ice Store in Haleiwa (DELICIOUS). Just Enjoy, I'm moving back home to Hawaii in Feb. or Mar., I'm freezing here in Virginia, and Hawaii is 70-80 degrees year around, very tropical with beaches and fresh water and air.

Hawaii is beautiful, gorgeous, the prettiest places in the world are in Hawaii. At the same time it is very expensive if you plan to live there. There are tourist traps everywhere but in general it is a wonderful place.

first of all its Honolulu, i have to look up in Hawaiian dictionary to see if there is word that spelling, secondly i have been living here for 8 yrs and enjoy it immensely, yes it is expensive but if you stay away from all the tourist areas you can do pretty good, we have the lowest rate of unemployment and the water that comes from the tap is clean, natural underground well, but the drawbacks are that it is getting crowded now, traffic sometimes is bad, but clean air and beautiful beaches make up for it

Honolulu Hawaii.
it's pretty nice. I actually live here myself. It can be pretty hot in the daytime for a good part of the year, summer-autumn. But it's not bad right now.
