I'm having problems in using hairsticks for hairstyles. My hair now reaches the small of my back (long I know). I have no idea how to use hair sticks though I'd really like to know how. Can anyone give a deatiled step by step procedure on how to use them? I'd like to know how to use them in a bun

Hunter2 and Miss Sporty described how to use hairsticks, but I thought you would be interested in this website, if you have not found it already. It's all about long hair care & wear, using Hairsticks & hair jewelry, and everything else about hair. It's a fun site to visit.

In college my hair was past my waist, and I often braided it. Now it is much shorter, only about half way down my shoulder blades, but I love finding different ways to put it up.

Make your hair into a light twisted bun. So twist your hair into a long roll, then wrap the roll into a bun and turn it over and or under so that it's nice and tight against your head. Then while holding the hair with one hand, insert one stick from top at an angle down and across. When you insert it do it so that the hair is tightened by the sticks placement. Then insert the second one at the opposite side and from the top angle it to the other side so that the sticks make an X. Insert it so that it further tightens the bun. It will stay. A couple ot times to practise and you'll be like a pro.

Enjoy, you lucky ducky with such wonderful long hair.

When you make a bun just stick them in right over your bun so that they make an "X" . You can do any kind of up-do and just insert the sticks (making and "X" every time). Hope this helps!
