War IS terror and a fanatisized, religious war has no end to it. It will be a few centuries before the passions are quelled, despite any efforts. That was the plan of the Bush boys. Chaos so we have a reason to stay.

With a 25% unemployment rate in Iraq it shouldn't be hard to find willing people to be police officers. The Bush Administration wanted 135,000 Iraqi police. That's 1 per 200 people. The U.S. could train 600,000 more people to police officers and have them ready by October of this year. That would make it 1 per 30 people or about 1 per 20 of fighting age or about 1 in 10 males of fighting age. Sure there will be some attacks, but it would hard to get and stay supplied and it would be hard to organize.

Terror (not terorr) in Iraq can be stopped only and only if we can remove its reason (i.e) the US occupation. Before that occupation which was illegal there was no terror,it was created by Bush stupid policy in Iraq.

Nobody can regulate the situation in Iraq from outside. I think that each country has to do it by its own efforts pursuant to its political culture and customs. I think that we should leave them alone and in that case maybe someday they'll be able to regulate the situation and to stop the terror in their country. But if we continue to irritate the state it won't ever stop.

I can but nobody will listen. It is quite obvious the Bush administration has sided with the Shites. That angers the Sunni. One must find common ground or destroy one of the sides.
The Sunni side is smaller so that is what is happening. The United States is currently involved in ethnic cleansing. That's why they are having botched hangings. To encite war so they can kill more Sunnis.
If we had intelligent leadership we could find common ground.

i don't know who can stop it, but george did a good job of letting it start and get out of control! then he and rummy made it worse on the second day, and every day thereafter.

All of us...if we bother to get together and help them,
hanging Sadam Hussein might not exactly work.
