I wouldn't say that I hide anything but I might not openly disclose any information that could be misconstrued, manipulate or misunderstood.

If my girlfriend wanted to know something about me and it was reasonable then I'd tell her. If she wanted to know how many people I'd slept with then I'd make sure that she really wanted to know before divulging this information. Personally, knowing this stuff doesn't interest me as her past is her past, all I know is that it made her who she is and that's who I love. Her past belongs to her and only her present and her future concern me.

When dealing with a partners past, my only advice would be "Don't ask questions you really don't want the answers to."

What happened in the past should stay in the past except if it will have some kind of influence on your current relationship. There is a reason why they call it the past

I don't have a boyfreind, but if I had he would know only those things that he should know nothing else which is more intimate or personal. Besides, the fact that he is my boyfriend is not the fact I have to tell him my secrets. Women Must have secrets. Secrets help relations to develop. If you know about yourself just EVERYTING, then what to talk about. Person becomes predicatble and that is not interesting.
Examples, Britney and Kevin.

We are a complete open book - no secrets at all so nothing can come back to haunt us or be used to cause friction or hurt.

Been married 20 years now so something must be right!

as far as I am concerned - past is named so for a good reason!! its past!! I share certain things - i.e childhood etc but I don't share past se*ual exploits or my more wild things that could make an impact on our relationship by causing jealousy - there is no point in telling someone everything - you gain nothing by it really. I cheated on my last boyfriend, but for good reason - I have never told my fella who I am with now because he would think I could do it on him!! which I wouldn't dream of - but I wouldn't like the seed of doubt to been sewn!!

you catch my drift !!

Me and my boyfriend are not like most of you people. The biggest way that we are diff is that we've never slept with anyone(both virgins) We share everything. my bf knows everything about my past, present, and hopes for the future. thats the way that it should be so that if the girl/guy that u r dating is the one thats right for u there will be no friction later in life

I am like a open cliff note, everything is open, but not every detail is brought up by me, but if they ask, they will get an honest answer.
