best is a cross trainer...i lost more using that than a treadmill running at top speed...your feet are always on the pads so you dont jolt your bones/joints...and youre using your arms and legs all the time.
otherwise walk at your top speed for 30 minutes...this can be done anywhere for free...all you need is walking shoes.

Losing weight need cardiovascular exercise, so a thigh trainer would be no good. CV exercise is stuff that makes your heart rate faster, makes you short of breath etc so a treadmill, cross-trainer, bike is along the right lines. Treadmill/cross trainer are better as you are on your feet and supporting your whole weight, rather than sitting on your bum on a bike and only working your legs. Walking regularly is a good way to shift excess pounds, something which can be done with children in tow too so you can work this into your daily routine and get them some fresh air at the same time (i'm not saying you don't normally give them fresh air!!)

Lets see here,
well, my when my wife gave birth, she gained about 65lbs. what she did to lose it is go walking with our daughter just about everyday, and work out with the "turbo Jam" fitness videos. plus she does the eliptical machine, at the gym while i babysit. Since you cant go to the gym, look for a babysitter for about an 1-2hours to go to the gym. if not, get some ankle weights(to walk around the house in, and when you are sitting down, doing leg lifts), and a treadmill(to run). when your kids are napping, you can do a quick jog. You can also look on the internet for different workouts, like bodybuilding.com.
My wife also takes lipo6 (fat burner), and cortislim(to help with the weight that gets added on your body from stress) also from bodyb website. so in 1 1/2 years she has lost about 90lbs.
Good luck, hope this helps.

The best form of exercise is a type that you try and can commit to doing on a regular or semi-regular basis.
I like weight lifting, but I realize it's not for everyone. Taking a walk, or hike in the beautiful mountains where you live or riding a bike can be a great way to break the monotonous mechanical nature of exercising that most of us may only have the time for.

I,m exactly the same i really want to go to the gym but can,t.
Swimming is supposed to be good if you have the time but i suppose you'd have to go more than once a week to benefit from it. Walking is supposed to be good too. When i had my first baby that,s all i did and i soon got back to my normal self. This time though it does'nt seem to have worked.
Well good luck to you anyway and if you find something that works please let mr know.

If you can only get one machine get either the exercise bike or the treadmill. They will give you a cardio workout not just build up one muscle group.

A rowing machine is great if you only want one piece of kit, it will work your legs and upper body and give you a good cardio workout. Use that as well as doing some crunches (situps) you should see some good results in a matter of weeks.
