Yep its bad,at 8am I looked out the window to see the wife running up the street after our dust bin,she was soaked to the skin.I did think about going after her but seeing that the dustbin was doing about 50 mph,and at best I can only run 6mph,I decided against it.Worst part was she didn`t come back for 20 minutes so I had to have my breakfast late.

Just a bit windy near Manchester. Had a bit of rain. Worst is supposed to be coming at weekend. Good news for the South East though - the hosepipe ban has been lifted. You wouldn't credit it would you?

Yes, it is fierce at the moment. Very strong winds and a lot of rain. Ferry journeys have been cancelled people are being advised not to travel if they don't have to. Gale warnings and flood warnings everywhere.

Global warming effects? Maybe!

Very windy here in London but surprisingly warm. I'm off up to Yorkshire later so I'll let you know how much colder it is when I get there!
