I've had an apple for brekky this morning but now I'm shaking like a leaf but I don't feel hungry. Why do I feel like this? I don't drink.

An apple by itself is only about 60-100 calories, and it's mostly fruit sugar carbs or fructose. After a little while, you will burn through that energy and you'll come down, and there will be nothing in your stomach to fuel you through the rest of the day.

Protein will satisfy you more, and provide a longer supply of fuel, but in truth you need protein, carbs, *and* fats to be eating healthy.

Your weight determines how many calories you should take in over the course of a day, but don't skimp on the breakfast. Most people only eat 100-200 calories for breakfast and then like 2000 calories for dinner. It's ridiculous. I would aim for at least 400 calories for breakfast, followed by a 100 calorie snack (like that apple, for instance) a couple hours later.

Try to mix in some proteins with your breakfast. A couple strips of bacon or an egg or two won't kill you. Or better yet, try a cup of lowfat yogurt and some toast. You will feel more satisfied and energized. Yes, you will also get hungry again later in the morning (that's what the snack is for) but that hunger is just a sign that your body's metabolism is working and that you're burning fuel. Imagine how much worse it is for you that your body ISN'T getting hungry when you don't eat a good breakfast!

Your body is telling you through your nerves synapsis that you are deficient in some nutrients that it needs to maintain your health. I would say a lack of the B group of vitamins, would be the first suspicion.

If you drank any coffee this a.m. with the apple, then you are on a double whammy.

Anyone wanting to diet properly must get all their daily intakes of vitamins, minerals and proteins, carbs, and etc. in abundance in some form to give the body at least what it needs to maintain health and function properly. Supplements can do this, while you cut back on foods that are fattening. See a good nutritionist on this issue.

You need to eat more than just an apple for breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You call it a diet.. but starving yourself isn't going to make you lose weight. You need to eat healthy.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

I,ve been like that and felt like i had no energy. It could be though that an apple is'nt enough maybe you need a bowl of cereal to go with it. Being on a diet does'nt mean you have to starve yourself.

You probably need something more substantial, breakfast is the most important meal of the day and all that.

Could be your blood sugar is low or it could be withdrawal if you're accustomed to lots of sugar in your diet.

Its because your body is normally expecting more calories. Your stomache will grow accustom to your new calorie intake in a few days.
