The bad part about this question that you asked............. is that you know the truth....... and you will be held accountable for what you do.....
While God will hold everyone accountable, each for their own lives, he extends his grace to the repentant sinner. He promises that "If the wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed and observes all my statutes and practices justice and righteousness, he shall surely live; he shall not die
All his trangressions which he has committed will not be remembered against him; because of his righteousness which he has practiced, he will live . Do i have any pleasure in the death of the wicked declares the lord God rather than that he should turn from his ways and live?
I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies, declares the lord God...Therefore repent and live.
By death God is nor referring to the physical death which we might have in mind rather, God is referring to something whch will happen in eternity, after our physical deaths. The scriptures refer to this event as the second death.
The first death separates us from our bodies and takes us from this world.
Second death is differend it also entails a serparation, but it's the separation of one group of people from another; the rightous and the forgiven on one hand and the wicked and the unrepentant on the other
the two group will be judged................... we are judged by everything that we do in our lives........ from the moment that we knew right from wrong............

All souls will soar up to live in the spiritual world. The spiritual world is one world, without separation of nirvana, hell or heaven as men have imagined. Those words describe not the places but the condition of the developed or under-developed souls.
Those who refuse to use their rational sense to make preparations for that spiritual life with responsibilty will be bitterly regretful for their disobedience. As for the babies and disabled people, by His divine wisdom, the One True God will favor mercy on them in compensation for the deprivation of their rational sense.
All the Holy Books have taught mankind about how to develop spiritual virtues for the progress of the souls in the life to come.

you still meet something or somone you know who has found out
if you been good you go to heaven ,usually by a parent ,brother or sister but also who ever you would most believe and trust
evil emerges in the darkness ,good into the light.
but even in the darkness there is yet the voice that tempts us and teaches us ,that only by wanting to help others can we get to heaven
do it here or hell it must be done.
fear no evil
only god is perfect.

It's kinda like saying can I get run over by a cow if I have never seen one?
Regardless of whatever faith you believe in, the afterlife is determined by the person after the life they have lived. Those who don't want to do anything (or don't believe) pretty much go someplace and simply 'wait'. What happens usually is that another 'atheist' or 'agnostic' finds them, and they sit and discuss their life. By that 'meeting', they both decide where to go from there.
Christians go and have a talk with Jesus, sometimes unpleasant (at least for the person presenting themselves), Muslims go and visit Mohammed, Hindus meet Vishnu (or whichever 'God' they pledged themselves to). Those of multi-faiths usually go with whomever they feel the 'closest' to.

Personally, I don't think anyone should have any rational basis for believing in an afterlife until proof is offered.
As a born-again Christian, proof has been offered to me. I feel inside me the presence of my Father and it's enough for me to believe such a being lives and has taken me into his family.
To date, I have no proof of hell, and so I doubt it's existence. I think those who are not born again will just sleep forever because they have nothing like I have that would generate another life after death.
(For a clear explanation of how resurrection works, read I Corinthains 15.)

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)
Become part of God's family today. Acknowledge your sinfulness, and express your faith in these words:
"God, I have sinned against You. (Romans 3:23) I've followed my own way and refused to give You the right to rule in my life. (Romans 3:10-12) I recognize I am separated from You and cannot rescue myself. I do believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I accept the truth of the Scriptures? that His death on the cross paid my sin-debt in full. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) And I ask You to forgive me of my sins. (1 John 1:9) By faith, I receive You, Lord Jesus, as my personal Savior from this moment on."
If you just spoke those words to God, then, like the thief on the cross, you have received salvation? a gift of God's grace. The heavenly Father welcomes every person who comes to Him through His Son, regardless of background, age, or current situation. Through Jesus, the right to enter paradise is yours!

Many doctors that I have spoke to insist that when one dies it is all over. Eternal nothingness. You close your eyes and you go to sleep for eternity. Believing in Heaven and Hell helps us feel that there is something beyond life and gives us hope that it just doesn't end abruptly and then darkness.
