Helicopters are usually more expensive compared to an airplane with similar performance and they are very very expensive to maintain too mostly because of more moving parts. a 4 seater single engine airplane could cost as low as $30,000 and $500 per month for maintenance but a 4 seater light helicopter would cost at least $300,000 and about $3000 per month to maintain.
