yea, and I never asked him back out again. He got a new girlfriend and I would never come between that cause I'd had my chance! I just wanted him to be happy after that and I learned from my mistake

Yes, I have felt regret soon after a breakup for various reasons. As time passed though, regret was replaced with knowledge of the fact that had I not separated from this person, there would have been no room for the true love of my life to come in.

Yes-My first love and I'm not sure regret is the word because I am in love now! I just wish I could of told him how sorry I really was and that I didn't mean to hurt him. He was such a nice guy even after I broke it off. Sorry Jason!

In my experience if splitting up was the right thing to do at the time your probably best off apart. Unfortunately absence makes the heart grow fonder and we seem to have this ability of forgetting the bad times and focusing on the good.

YES!! My senior year of high school, he was a junior, beautiful blue eyes and was soooo sweet to me. I was very stupid and walked away without an explanation on what probably would have been a fantastic, long term relationship. Who knows where I'd be now if I'd not been so stupid back then? (sorry John!)

I regret it it and then think that he relationship was better thna it was. The fact is in hindsight we remember things better then they were.
So, with whatever guides us, the change in relationship is normally for the best.

Yes and it was the biggest mistake i've ever made in my life. Sad thing is that this is the second time i've done this - should have learned the first time round. If anyone reading this right now is about to dump someone - please please please think very hard before you do it, as once you've burnt your bridges it's too late.
